FROM OFFICE SERVICES TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN
The Cristo Rey Jesuit Corporate Work Study Program places students in a variety of industries and roles including:
Accounting
- Data entry of purchase orders
- Assist with processing of accounts payable (verify vendor invoice & attach check)
- Assist in processing of expense reports
- Allocate corporate expenses, such as phone bills, across departments
- Check incoming invoices; enter data into spreadsheet and circulate for approval
Human Resources
- Assist in preparations for recruiting at college job fairs
- Filing services
- Process interview and new hire paperwork
- Data entry for commissions; investigate payroll issues
- Reconcile HR data across several databases
- Distribute and track evaluation forms
- PeopleSoft data management, filing, processing of new hires and terminations
- Process new employee security passes and documents
- Input CRM information
Office Services
- Mail delivery and copy room support (including use of large-scale copy machines and cutting & binding equipment)
- Backup phone duty for main reception
- Maintain schedule for appointment rooms; prepare rooms for meetings
- Manage supplies inventory
- Assist in organizing library; sort and distribute practice supply books; re-shelve returned materials (files & periodicals); data entry of library research requests
- Prepare documentation for shipping
- Translation services
Finance
- File trade confirms and trading tickets
- Scan credit documents and ensure completeness of credit files; prepare batches for off-site distribution
- Check transactions in off-site employee accounts: open statements, ID documents, code, scan and batch documents for shipment
- Patriot Act compliance (ensure completeness of account opening documentation); archive regulatory documents
- Assist in processing of new employee Securities Registration and existing employee continuing education
Information Technology
- Equipment allocation, reallocation and inventory
- Order processing for new equipment
- Helpdesk triage; installing new programs
Marketing & Business Development
- Prepare presentation materials
- Assist with client events (name tags, marketing folders)
