As a proud first-generation graduate of Alverno college, Maria has roots in the southside Milwaukee community. She is a strong supporter of Catholic education, and strong faith and community advocacy has led to her career in Catholic education. She has worked for Catholic schools for six years in marketing, reaching out to schools and parents on the southside for the purpose of promoting Catholic education. She also continues to keep strong ties with the community through her volunteer work at various community events and organizations, such as Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, the Hispanic Collaborative of Milwaukee, and Mexican Fiesta.

Maria is passionate about building up the next generation of Milwaukee leaders and is looking forward to connecting Cristo Rey’s families with an educational experience that she believes is transformative.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and giving back to her community by volunteering her time to serve others.
