Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee is seeking a passionate Robotics Head Coach to guide students through an exciting, hands-on journey in competitive robotics. JOB SUMMARY: 

The Robotics Head Coach will work closely with the Director of Innovation and Innovation Lab Coordinator to help students get connected with resources to support their safety, learning, and work building a robot for competition. Our program relies heavily on the infrastructure and build-space at Milwaukee Robotics Academy (MRA) in Riverwest, so there are daily transportation considerations to get students from CRJ to MRA and back.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support two after-school parent meetings in September 2025
• Become an approved driver for CRJ to help transport students to Milwaukee Robotics Academy (MRA)
• Attend most of the pre-season build sessions at MRA
  • Pre-season consists of ten 3-hour meetings from October – November 2025
• Attend the launch day event (8 hrs) on January 10, 2026
• Attend most of the scheduled time for team meetings, in coordination with the assistant coach
  • 12 weeks of the build/competition season, from January – March
  • Monday-Thursday from 3:30-7pm and Sat from 9am-3pm
• Attend all competition weekends (1 possible scrimmage, 2 district competitions, dates TBD)
• Assist with the award banquet on May 4th, 2026
• Organize and attend at least two postseason robotics team meetings in April.
• Support community-wide communications and promotion of the team
• Support fundraising and outreach efforts of the team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Effective communicator and project manager
• Experience with power and hand tools
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
• Basic computer programming skills preferred
• Teaching experience is a plus
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Commitment to the Mission and Values of CRJHS
• Desire to work with high school students
• Sensitivity to the ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds of the student body
