More often than I would like, there are days where I am not sure what to believe about who God is, and if God is there when I pray. When I am not sure if there is justice in the world, and faith seems something that others have and I don’t.

But today’s Psalm is great, when the “just cry out, the Lord hears them, and from all their distress God rescues them.” It’s a good reminder that God does indeed listen to those who are affected by injustice. It is in those who are the ‘victims’ that God is close to, not the perpetrators of violence or meanness.

It calls me to understand that if I want to grow in faith then I have to stand close to the victims, not the bullies, I have to love my sister, and not say mean things to my mom.
